Eggnob Demo

Posted: 27 June, 2026

Eggnob's been progressing pretty slowly over the last few weeks; between trips away and the scorching heat I've been too tired to do much level design, but I have sorted out all gameflow / UI stuff to the point where there's a "game", just one without many levels.

So I thought I'd kick the tyres on the Emscriptem build, sort out the company website, and get everything in place for the eventual Steam page, which means you, interested reader, get to give it a play before anyone else does!

Just point your web-browser to the official Eggnob page and follow the link.

"Works on my machine" and all that. There might be bugs (there definitely is), there may be glitches (there's definitely a problem with some audio), but there's enough there for you to get a feel for where it's going.

It's marmite (I made it!), so be warned...

Musings, random thoughts, work in progress screenshots, and occasional swears at Unreal Engine's lack of documentation -- this is a rare insight into what happens when a supposedly professional game developer plans very little up-front, and instead follows where the jokes lead them.
